Executive Board Meeting Minutes June 10, 2009 Secretary- Debbie Hallanger -There will be a Membership Meeting Wednesday June 24 at Angelo's in Bellevue starting at 7:30pm. Treasurer- Joan Inge -Bank balances reported. -Thanks to Marcia for filling in at Spokane. She did a wonderful job. -Spokane was a financial success, and we were glad to be back. 1st VP- Mike Tobin -Need input for the E-newsletter, to be published Thursday June 11th. -Possibly a couple more class sponsors. -Red Flag Policy we still need to purchase a metal locking cabinet to complete our commitment. -Charity event in the works for October race weekend to benefit Seattle Children's Hospital. 2nd VP- Bill Hallanger -The Race Director, Jeff Wieand, has decided there will be NO SuperTeams this season. -The 4 hour endurance at Spokane is in discussion. The race will be after a full, but compressed Saturday schedule. -Motion to set endurance fee at $375. For: Joan, Mike, Ross, Debbie, Bill, Duncan, and Katie Against: none Abstain: Nico -Motion passes that endurance fee will be $375, with no additional rider fees. Maximum of 20 teams will be allowed to race. Each team is allowed up to 4 riders. We will allow additional riders/bikes to register to practice for $125. We will limit the number of bikes on the track to 30. Novices and practice riders cannot be out on the track during the first and last 20 minutes of the endurance race. 3rd VP- Katie Field -We received an application from a minor, John Gessner. Vote for accepting John Gessner as novice to ride an RS125 to run in 125GP and Open Singles. For: Joan, Mike, Ross, Nico, Debbie, Katie Against: None Abstain: Duncan, Bill Motion Passes -We received an application from a minor, Travis Oghie. Vote to accept Travis to run as an expert on a 600cc with no class limitation. For: Unanimous Motion Passes -Nico will be going to Spokane to check the AMB loop. -Pacific Raceways has put in a new AMB loop, there were problems near rider's left wall at Round 2. -Overall championship results are posted on the website. -Vintage results for Round 3 are correct and reposted. President- Allister MacKinnon -We received a proposal for Lindsey Medford to run as a novice even though she has not taken the NRS classroom. Allister has offered to instruct Lindsey. Vote to let Lindsey race the last 3 weekends of the season once she has instruction about procedures. For: Unanimous -There will be a Kurt Husted memorial ride on Sunday at lunch. If non-racers want to ride, they must check in at registration prior to lunch, have WA license endorsement to be verified. -Request for IR fund for Cogs. Motion to give him $1000 once he fills out an application. For: Unanimous Motion Passes -Thanks everyone for a successful Spokane race weekend. Airfence Committee- Nico Tomacelli -No report Novice Rep- Nico Tomacelli -Final NRS classroom session was Sun June 7th with 18 new racers. Supersport Rep- Ross Delong -Discussion of rider complaints. Superbike Rep- Brad Gua -Not present -No report Vintage Rep- Duncan Craick -Proposal to keep last years fees for the August 8th Vintage Days races.
