Executive Board Meeting Minutes September 11, 2008 Secretary- Debbie Hallanger -Membership meeting will be October 22th at Angelo's Restaurant in Bellevue at 7:30 PM. Treasurer- Joan Inge -Bank balances and Pacific Raceways gate attendance for Round 6 recorded. -Big thanks to The Brothers Powersports for their donation to the Injured Rider Fund. -Thanks to Nico for stepping up and helping to collect invoices from race day organizations for Airfence payment. -Round 4 and 5 refunds are scheduled to go out this weekend, September 14-15. 1st VP- Mike Tobin -Not present -No report 2nd VP- Bill Hallanger -Rule proposal submissions are being accepted through the website or at 2ndvp@wmrra.com through October 1st. -Rules Committee meeting needs to be scheduled. Tentatively it will be held on October 25th, location TBD. -Discussion on turn 4B having more consistency when letting bikes back onto the track. Issue will be discussed with Corner Captain and Race Director. 3rd VP- Ariana Burgess -Not present -Discussion on AMB and the possibility of getting a demo of an online registration software from a new company. -There are dozens of medals that have not been handed out from race day class awards. If you do not collect your award at the next race weekend, your medal will be recycled for next year. -Discussion of member and volunteer awards to me given out at the banquet. President- Allister MacKinnon -Discussion on the rider's meeting on race days going too long and punishments given to riders during that time. Bill will talk to Race Director and try to work out a better agenda. -Motion to comp one banquet ticket to a specific list of vendors that come to the races on a regular basis. Proposal to include SB motorsports, Michelin, EDR, KFG, Speed Dealer, Pirelli, Bridgestone, Pacific Raceways, and Fluid Suspensions. Against: none FOR: Bill, Brad, Cindy, Allister, Nico, Joan Abstain: Debbie -Discussion on endurance race for 2009. -Motion to grant racer support money to members racing at the next AMA event. Members requesting assistance are Seahorn, Boisvert, and Ellingston. Motion passes unanimously. -Concerns raised by members that live on the East side of the state. They have often felt unwelcomed and unsupported by our club. New ideas are discussed to have more exposure and marketing in Spokane. Novice Rep- Nico Tomacelli -Jake and Nico are going through the curriculum and surveys from 2008 to improve NRS for next year. -Working on cleaning up novice rulebook entries to align with current policies. -Registration has been informed that all visiting novices have to report to the novice rep before they can enter the race track. -NRS dates will continue to be at the beginning of March and June for 2009, in accordance with 2009 2Fast track dates. Supersport Rep- Ross Delong -Not present -No report Superbike Rep- Brad Gua -Discussion on riders griding in the wrong space. The riders are responsible to grid in the correct place and to speak up when someone grids in your spot. Vintage Rep- Duncan Craick -Not present -No report Good of WMRRA -Good luck to Ross, heal fast. -We had a great representation at Miller AHRMA and their battle of the twins.Vintage racing superstar Dave Roeper got the holeshot over Doug Polin while riding Tim Keane's Bimota SB8 in the F1 race.
